It’s never too early to start planning your next big hunt! In fact, at Shuhart Creek Whitetails, we’re already taking reservations for 2016 hunts!

Archery season begins Oct. 1 and runs through the second week in January. The first gun season is Nov. 18 through 20, and the second season is Dec. 3 through 6. Finally, muzzle loader season is Dec. 11 through 13. However, you can use a muzzle loader in the second gun season of the year in addition to a shotgun.

While it may seem so far away and not necessary to worry about yet, prime hunting weekends are starting to fill up. Our hunts are five day hunts, and pricing starts at $1,600 to $3,750 for combo hunts. This includes lodging. A 50 percent deposit is required up front to hold a hunt date.

Our guides have more than 100 years of combined hunting experience, making them experts at harvesting Illinois’ best bucks. They have intense knowledge of the local landscape and deer movements to put you in a great position to get the buck of a lifetime!

With Shuhart Creek’s prime location along the Mississippi River bluffs, hunters have 2,500 pristine and private acres in which to hunt. The land features a diverse habitat of timber, creek bottoms, crop fields and food plots, providing the best opportunity for each hunter to experience an outstanding hunt.
